Business Development Associate

Grow Business While Helping Non-Profits

PICnet is an energetic, innovative technology firm changing the face of the online world for non-profits and socially responsible businesses. We're looking for a Business Development Associate to join our team and to help generate new business for our passionate Web communication experts.

Our Soapbox platform is an online communications system (powered by Joomla) used by non-profits and socially responsible businesses to easily manage their Web sites. We're looking to add business development talent to our team to help us continue to grow our Soapbox client base.

At PICnet, our high-touch, high-quality service separates us from the crowd and keeps our client list expanding. The individual who takes this position will be joining a dedicated and motivated team that seeks to offer the very best experience for our non-profit and socially responsible business clients as they leverage their web presence to fulfill their missions.

Responsibilities

  • Executing on the company's business development strategy, and providing new insight
  • Working with our team to update and produce relevant sales materials
  • Researching and developing a list of leads, including: non-profits, foundations, socially responsible businesses, CSR divisions of Fortune 500 companies
  • Finding appropriate decision-makers within organizations
  • Closing deals with new clients
  • Building network of partners to increase sales channels

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of entry-level business development experience
  • Understanding of Web technology services
  • Strong connections in the non-profit or socially responsible business sectors
  • Experience using CRM tools to track sales is preferred

The right applicant will not only have the basic business development qualifications, but will truly enjoy working for the non-profit and socially responsible business sectors. You've got to have heart. You've got to be passionate about public service and the social sector.

Location

This position is available only as a full-time position working in our Washington, DC office.

Compensation

Compensation for this position will be on a strong commission structure.
