FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 15, 2003
WASHINGTON - PICnet, Inc. (www.picnet.net),
a technology consulting firm for non-profit organizations, has
successfully developed and launched a CD-ROM based training solution
that teaches part-time volunteers of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
(CFF) quickly and conveniently. PICnet created the CD-ROM training
program to allow all of the 117 CFF centers nationwide to provide a
standardized training program for its thousands of volunteers.
This
training program has allowed the medical professionals at centers to
spend less time training these volunteers and dedicate themselves
entirely to their patients. PICnet's technology helps these volunteers
learn at their own pace through presentations and quizzes, guaranteeing
the needed level of high quality expertise.
The Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation has aggressively pursued its goal of developing the means to
cure and control cystic fibrosis. The Foundation has established more
than 100 accredited centers throughout the nation to diagnose and
provide care for those with the disease. The staff includes physicians,
nurses, therapists, social workers, other medical professionals, and
volunteers who undergo thorough training.
