FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 22, 2004
PICnet to host 10-part series which will bring together non-profit leaders throughout 2004
WASHINGTON - PICnet, Inc. (www.picnet.net),
a technology consulting firm for non-profit organizations, has
announced a ten part roundtable series that will bring together
technologists, management, and users from the non-profit and political
technology landscape that will push the envelope in building the
framework for creative new technologies to be built in the next ten
years.
"Serious discussions such as these are lacking in the
non-profit arena," said Ryan Ozimek, CEO of PICnet. "This series fills
this void by bringing together the leaders who will shape the
technology non-profits will use during the next ten years by looking at
past best practices to help provide innovation for the future."
In
1995, Netscape went public and set in motion the Internet as most
people know it today. Come 2005, non-profit organizations will have had
10 years to analyze how this amazing decade has provided them with
technology tools that have reshaped the way they operate. What worked?
What failed? What can we do better? What does innovation look like for
this sector in the next decade?
Each month PICnet will invite
8-12 non-profit and political leaders to discuss how they can push the
envelope in innovation and technology. Attendees will include
non-profit management, non-profit technology consultants, political
consultants, campaign staff, grassroots organizers, and others who have
an interest in online technology and its use in engaging constituents.
Information
and findings gathered at each event will be compiled into a report that
will be freely available to the non-profit community and will be
presented throughout 2005 at non-profit and political technology
conferences.
