Since early 2010, we've been proud to be certified as a B Corporation, a new unit of measure that helps consumers better understand the philosophy of the companies they engage with in their buying choices.
B Corporations are a new kind of company which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. In a little over a year, there are already over 200 Certified B Corporations from over 50 industries, representing $1 billion in collective revenues and $6 billion in capital under management. While diverse in their services, these companies have similar approaches to meeting higher standards of social and environmental performance and accountability.
At PICnet, we believe that people always come first. That might sound like the typical sound-bite you hear from corporate marketing teams, but anyone who's worked within the open source community knows it's easy to forget the people and focus on the code. Whether it's our family-friendly internal policies, or our focus on delivering high-quality solutions at affordable costs to non-profits, we believe that people matter just as much as profits.
